Squeeze Theorem

A sequence trapped between two sequences with the same limit has that limit as well.
Squeeze Theorem

Squeeze theorem: Let (an)(a_n), (bn)(b_n), and (cn)(c_n) be real sequences such that anbncna_n \le b_n \le c_n for all sufficiently large nn. If anLa_n \to L and cnLc_n \to L, then bnLb_n \to L.

This theorem is a standard tool for proving convergence without explicitly computing a limit, and it has an analogous form for of functions.
